Are you passionate about oncology care and making a difference in patients' lives? Shannon Health in San Angelo, TX is looking for a skilled and compassionate Oncology Pharmacist to join our dynamic Oncology Team!
As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of patient care, ensuring the safe compounding, preparation, and dispensing of chemotherapy treatments. You'll play a crucial role in minimizing drug waste, managing drug shortages, and ensuring safe handling of hazardous drugs. Working alongside our dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to directly impact patient outcomes by:
Providing expert patient services such as education on chemotherapy, monitoring for adverse drug events, and evaluating drug-drug and drug-disease interactions.
Offering supportive care services to optimize patient comfort and health.
Collaborating with the Oncology Team in decision-making on chemotherapy formulary management, treatment protocols, and regulatory compliance.
You’ll also have a hand in improving patient care through your insights into medication safety, treatment effectiveness, and compliance with the latest standards.
What We're Looking For:
A licensed pharmacist with expertise or a passion for oncology pharmacy.
Strong communication skills for educating patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
A commitment to patient safety and improving therapeutic outcomes.
Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols, drug safety, and supportive care services.
