SUMMARY: The Medical Staff Services Specialist has primary responsibility for the verification of practitioner credentials and the facilitation of reappointment in a timeframe compliant with medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, policies, accreditation standards and regulatory agency requirements. The Medical Staff Services Specialist also assists the director, Medical Staff Services, in coordinating the administrative functions for the Medical Staff, and helps maintain an open line of communication between the Medical Staff and Hospital Administration. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience in credentialing in a hospital setting preferred. SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively and strong customer services skills required.
