The National Association of Manufacturers is seeking a resourceful, energetic and eager to learn Communications Associate who will be responsible for administrative, scheduling and logistical duties to the Senior Vice President, as well as researching and distributing news clips for CEO and members, and special projects assigned by Senior Vice President. It requires organizational skills, ability to work in a fast pace environment and juggle multiple tasks at once. This position will get experience working in all aspects of communications from press, digital to creative and brand by working to support the Senior Vice President.
* Must be detailed oriented and have a good judgment of the news cycle and what is relevant to the organization's leaders.
* Providing administrative support to the Senior Vice President of communications including, but not limited to, preparing letters, memos, briefs, preparing expense reports, copying, filing, answering telephones.
* Managing the Senior Vice President's schedule as well as handling the logistics to the meetings.
* Support the Senior Vice President on duties needed throughout the day - whether it be setting up a press call to organizing a presentation.

Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in social media platforms
Demonstrated proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook), internet, Web 2.0 channels
Demonstrated research and data entry skills
Strong planning and organization skills including proven attention to detail and follow through
Knowledge of how traditional and new media works
Motivated, reliable, positive attitude
Flexibility to work before or after hours occasionally when needed to meet deadlines
Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to handle pressure in a goal and deadline driven environment
Ability to work in a team environment and perform as a valuable member of the team
Bachelor's degree in communications, political science, English or related discipline
1-2 years of experience in a communication or press environment.
