Overview: This is a unique opportunity for a successful candidate to join an exciting high growth and late-stage startup as its first dedicated Director, Legal Affairs. The role will report to the COO and will be responsible for a broad range of legal and compliance areas, including commercial contracts and partnerships, marketing/advertising legal compliance, product counseling, advising on regulatory landscapes impacting food delivery services/apps, and the like. This role will be instrumental in supporting and driving ChowNow’s continued growth, which was more than 50% last year and projected for $100 million in annual revenue in 2021.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, plus excellent employee benefits.
Experience: 8+ years of relevant legal experience, including broad commercial background and foundational training in a nationally recognized law firm; In-house experience is a plus.

Bar: Candidate must be a member in good standing of the California Bar or qualified to practice law as Registered In-House counsel in the State of California.
