This duration of this part-time position is for one year.
Reporting jointly to the Executive Director of UCSF Health Heart & Vascular Services and the Medical Director of the UCSF Health Adult Cardiac Echocardiography Lab, the incumbent will provide advice, guidance and expertise needed for the department to implement a nationally accredited training program to certify Echo Sonographers .
Serves as the organization expert establishing a nationally accreduted Echo Sonography training and certification program.
Establish advisory board
Advise and asupport application process for training program.
Adapt existing curriculum for training program.
Assist with ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) and CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) inspecitions and reviews
Advise on new policies and procedures for implementation as it relates to training program.
Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in a complex changing environment.
Plans, develops and implements new programs and organizational structure changes required to implement new policy.
