The Senior Technical Writer will create technical documents to support the New Product Development teams. This position will write, revise, organize, edit, and proofread technical product documents and maintain revision records.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development and revision of technical user manuals, surgical techniques, and laminates
Study specifications, mockups, drawings, operating procedures to integrate and delineate in product documents
Observe product demonstrations, development activities to determine operating procedures and detail
Ability to interview subject matter experts and lead product document review meetings
Apply corporate and regulatory documentation requirements
Plan documents and create drafts or framework of documents for project managers
Make suggestions or corrections in order to make a document more clear and concise
Initiate and manage through completion document change request approvals
Convey status to management and team members on a frequent basis. Articulate issues and make recommendations to the Program Managers and other senior management team members as appropriate.
What you need-
Bachelor's degree is required (disciple in English, Technical Communications or related field is preferred)
2+ years of technical writing experience is required (Alternatively, equivalent professional experience could be considered)
Excellent communication and organizational skills preferred
Proficient in FrameMaker, Microsoft Office Suite, Arbortext and Adobe Acrobat Pro preferred
Proactive attitude with a focus on resolving problems and delivering results preferred
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment preferred
Understanding of various digital formats for smart devices; web pages; embedded videos, etc. preferred
Demonstrated communication skills preferred
Must be able and flexible to work well under changing priorities in a high energy and demanding environment preferred
