The Head, US Vendor Alliances & Contracting will Develop, implement, and manage strategy as it relates to leading direct reports in contracting with academic research centers and vendors for sponsored trials, investigator-initiated trials, HEOR projects, and other related activities. Build and maintain a team of internal experts; lead projects, working groups, and initiatives to ensure resources are prepared to successfully respond to the changing needs & requirements of its internal and external customers (legal, operational, regulatory, technological, & financial).
Your responsibilities will include:
*Lead US Medical Vendor Alliances and Contracting with overall responsibility for the delivery of quality, timely, and cost-effective solutions to US Clinical Development and Medical Affairs business needs. *Lead/Co-lead key internal local & global alliances and projects to ensure US CDMA is prepared to successfully respond to the changing needs & requirements of its internal and external customers (legal, operational, regulatory & financial). *Responsible for leading US CDMA in the management negotiations of all contract-based transactions in support of Medical strategic plan. *Lead the contracting execution of approximately $300m+ US Medical budget ensuring yearly productivity targets are achieved. *Support the integration of novel sourcing platforms (ARIBA contracting, Docusign, Spring CM, etc.) to digitize our contract workflow processes. *Support all patient engagement initiatives including partnerships with key patient advocacy organizations and internal stakeholders to ensure the patient voice is well-represented in all medical affairs tactics and clinical trials. *Lead US CDMA vendor alliances for internal relationships with Clinical Technology & Innovation (CT&I), Global Medical Affairs, US Oncology, and Global R&D Procurement, as well as key external partnerships with suppliers including CROs, Central Labs, HE∨ providers, AROs, Research Collaborators, Publication Agencies, Central IRBs, REMS providers, External Workforce vendors, etc. *Serve as expert advisor for US CDMA as it relates to engagement of external workforces, responsible for ongoing due diligence, trainings, and external negotiations.
