This Frontline Supervisor will be responsible for:
Supervising and leading work of front desk staff, overseeing the clinical administrative support services for department. Planning, prioritizing and delegating work assignments, providing feedback as needed. Recommending, implementing and maintain systems/policies and procedures; assisting in development and implementation of departmental administrative policies and procedures. Training and orienting new personnel and communicates changes in hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Monitoring clinic activity to ensure the best possible patient experience. Assisting staff with resolving customer service and scheduling issues. Responding to patient's concerns and needs, offering the best possible appointment options and resolutions. Responding to situations requiring escalated service response.
Monitoring and maintaining department recordkeeping systems. Evaluating, recommending and implementing changes or upgrades in systems. Serving as a Super User for clinical floor and participating in Joint Commission/Environment of care preparations and rounds.
Collecting and compiling data from diverse sources, performing calculations, creating spreadsheets, graphs and charts, preparing analyses for supervisor's review and performs other related duties as assigned.
Organizing and maintaining daily administrative operations of department. Preparing, verifying and monitoring departmental payroll and maintaining related records. Preparing periodic reports and documents to comply with hospital, governmental, regulatory and/or funding agency requirements, according to established schedules. Monitoring employee review dates, terminations and other personnel actions.
Monitoring and maintaining department supply inventory and equipment. Purchasing standard departmental supplies and equipment repair services within budget allocations. Serving as liaison to support service departments to request and coordinate provision of needed services.
To qualify, you must have:
The level of knowledge typically acquired through completion of two years of occupationally-specific education or an Associate's degree in business or a closely related field, and three to four years of previous experience
The analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical or technical principles.
The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
