MANAGER OF PLANNING AND POLICIES INITIATIVES , Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP)-MIT Community Innovators Lab (CoLab) , to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, communicate important policy issues to stakeholders, and translate policy developments and impacts of trends in the long-term care sector into powerful strategic advice and guidance. Responsibilities include researching local, state, and federal policies and programs related to the long-term care industry; analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data for trends and other important data points that may be useful for policy advocacy efforts; collaborating with students and faculty to release research publications and other knowledge products; monitoring and communicating state and federal policy developments related to health and workforce development; writing short and long-form publications based on research and policy analysis, including internal memos, fact sheets, and opinion articles; and building supportive, trusting relationships with partners and cultivating a diverse network of relationships from which to solicit information, feedback, and support.
Job Requirements REQUIRED: bachelor's degree; three years of years' relevant experience; understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, and healthcare regulations and knowledge of federal legislative and/or regulatory process; working knowledge of the legal aspects and economic conditions affecting policies; strong analytical, problem-solving, and verbal and written communication skills; and ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise manner.
