The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), located in Seattle, Washington, is part of a dynamic collaboration among three organizations known nationally and internationally for their patient care and research: Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington, and Seattle Children's. Over the past 25 years, these institutions have worked together to support their mission of adult and pediatric oncology patient care services, research and education.
This position supports the organizations enterprise-wide regulatory and continuous readiness program and assist with hospital-based survey coordination and facilitation. The incumbent will:
Serve as an internal organizational consultant related to accreditation and regulatory processes and issues
Collaborate with the Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs (ARA) Team, ensuring partnership across the Quality Department, various departments and across the organization as a whole
Audit and round for regulatory and accreditation compliance, analyze gaps and escalate to the ARA Manager
Conduct regulatory and accreditation training, in conjunction with the ARA Manager, as necessary
Rounding at each of the SCCA-licensed locations, in all clinical areas
Track, trend and analyze internal rounds' data
Document editing and publishing. Documents include but are not limited to rounding audits, job aides, guidance documents, workflows
Accreditation- and regulatory-related data entry
Facilitatestaff and provider communications related to healthcare regulations
Work on select projects in Accreditation and Regulatory Affairs (e.g., presentations, data analysis, performance improvement activities)
Applicant must have a clinical background (RN, LPN, etc.) with experience in hospital or healthcare regulations
Strong communication skills: writing, presenting, command of PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Word. Must be able to visualize data
Must have experience working in a business/corporate setting such as healthcare operations, quality or an equivalent
Experience required in implementations and change management

The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance was incorporated in 1998 as a separate, jointly governed non-profit that included the cancer programs of three partners. Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is a cancer treatment center that unites doctors from Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and Seattle Children’s. The purpose of this organization is to provide state-of the-art patient and family centered care; support the conduct of cancer clinical research and education; enhance access to improved cancer interventions; and advance the standard of cancer care regionally and beyond. The Seattle Cancer Care Alliance is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in the Northwest, and according to the National Cancer Data Base, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance patients in general have better survival rates than patients treated at other cancer treatment centers.
