What will you do Responsible for supervising the employees under there responsibility in a R&D production environment. Plans and assigns work, follows policies, values and procedures. Recommends improvements in process, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions Features Supervise and coordinate the activities through group leaders who are involved in one or more project tasks, to ensure continuous work flow as well as the fulfillment of projects according to quantity and quality specifications. Analyze project schedules and work content to estimate hourly requirements to complete assigned work. Communicate job expectations; plan, monitor and evaluate the results of the work; train, advise and discipline employees; initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures. Complete the production plan for the R&D lab by scheduling and assigning personnel, achieving work results, Set priorities, monitor progress, review schedules, troubleshoot, report processing flow results in shift production summaries. Ensure the operation of the equipment by requesting repairs. Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, classifying, and analyzing production performance data and records. Maintain the quality of service by establishing and enforcing the organization's standards. Solve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating problems, identifying solutions, recommending actions. Evaluate the performance of subordinates and recommend appropriate development plans Recommend or initiate personal measures such as promotions, transfers, dismissals and disciplinary actions. Train new hires on how to use machinery safely and follow procedures. Work closely with other lab supervisors/managers to achieve coordination of activities between individual departments.
What will you need
3+ working in a medical device R&D project environment
Bachelors Degree in technical discipline preferred Experience in lean or Green/Belt advantage but not essential Excellent interpersonal skills Experience in planning software would be advantage but not essential
