The CSP Program Manager will serve as Pharmacy Service coordinator for all aspects of Compounded Sterile Product (CSP) and Hazardous Drug Management Operations for St. Louis VA Health Care System. The primary functions of this position within the Pharmacy are to develop, organize, and manage the intravenous admixture and sterile and non-sterile compounding program. This includes compliance oversight of all regulatory requirements and ensuring competency of personnel involved. Duties to include but not limited to: Manages all Compounded Sterile Product (CSP) VA St. Louis Health Care System Directs and oversees activities of all assigned operational, technical and professional personnel Develops, implements, and updates appropriate policies and procedures Responsible for the continuous monitoring of the healthcare system's compounded sterile preparations including OR and Oncology prescription orders that fall under CSP guidelines Oversees and coordinates education and training of all trainees and employees specific to CSP and Hazardous Drug Management processes Ensures that safe, timely, efficient and cost-effective distribution services are being provided within the assigned section of the Pharmacy Service Interprets applicable laws, regulations, and standards and develops and implements policies and procedures regarding assigned areas in order to assure facility compliance, competency of personnel, and appropriate environmental control of the assigned areas Directs the daily activities of CSP pharmacists, technicians, trainees, and other supportive personnel directly involved in assigned medication distribution Performs all pharmacy distributive functions including sterile product compounding according to the VHA and local policies to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services in a timely fashion to meet the needs of our patients and medical center staff Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-430pm Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
