Overview: Corium, Inc. is seeking an experienced biopharmaceutical attorney to join its growing legal team as Associate General Counsel (“Associate GC”). Reporting to the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer (“CLCO”), the Associate GC will collaborate closely with the CLCO and business teams, serving as a trusted business partner and problem-solver on a wide range of strategic, operational, corporate and compliance matters, with a particular focus on supporting the business on legal matters related to the commercial function and product promotion, patient support, medical affairs, clinical trials, and contracting. The Associate GC must have a demonstrated ability to work independently, and proactively develop practical, pragmatic, and well-reasoned solutions satisfying both business and legal interests.
Company: Corium is a privately held commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company leading the development of new CNS healthcare products that provide clinicians with important treatment options for patients, caregivers, and their families. Launched in 1999, Corium is a wholly-owned portfolio company of Gurnet Point Capital, with headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan and a growing presence in Greater Boston. The company is launching its first commercial drug product, Azstarys™, in the second half of 2021. Azstarys was approved by the U.S. FDA in March 2021.
Experience: The successful candidate will hold a J.D. and at least 10-12+ years of legal experience, including major law firm training and in-house experience representing a commercial biopharmaceutical company. Broad-based legal experience supporting branded biopharma products as a legal lead along with strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements within the biopharmaceutical industry are required. Experience advising on legal matters related to market access is a strong plus.
Compensation: A competitive compensation package, including base salary, bonus, and equity will be offered for this position consistent with the candidate’s level of experience.
Location: The role is based in Greater Boston, although Corium will consider a remote work arrangement (ideally within an eastern or central time zone location) with travel as needed.
