Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Manager for the Adult, Child, and Adolescent Outpatient Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (UBHC). Under the direction of the Program Director, Outpatient Services, the Program Manager will provide clinical and administrative direction and oversight to assigned programs, and closely monitor program integrity to comply with all regulatory requirements. Responsible for ongoing program development and implementation of best practice interventions.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Provides administrative and clinical direction for program.
Ensures that supervisory level staff members and the assigned programs comply with all state, Rutgers and discipline standards.
Assures that clinical documentation and other documentation meet quality, quantitative and time standards.
Maintains required certifications and/or memberships in appropriate professional bodies as indicated by annual vitae update, continuing education record, and updated licensing.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Minimum of a Master's Degree in a behavioral health discipline and five (5) years of postgraduate experience in a relevant behavioral healthcare setting.
Two (2) years supervisory experience.
An appropriate doctorate may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires extensive knowledge and experience with behavioral healthcare prevention services.
Outstanding human relations and leadership skills, and the ability to function in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge is necessary of how to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk across program space, communicate and document using computer.
Ability to travel throughout the state of NJ.
