This position is responsible for submitting IRB protocols, modifications, and continuations for investigators within the Division of Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery. This person is responsible for submitting all human research protocols to the OHSU IRB, HRPO, and the State IRB for initial submissions, continuing reviews, and modifications. It is expected that this person will pursue and incorporate information regarding new regulatory practices such as changes to The New Common Rule and OHSU institution changes related to consent processes or language, IRB study submissions, and OHSU Partners submissions. This person will assist with setting up projects in eCRIS, submitting clinical trials to ClinicalTrials.gov, and preparing and submitting INDs to the FDA.
Bachelor's Degree with major courses in field of research and 1 to 3 years of experience
Experience with IRBs
Proficient knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Meticulous detail to data and study procedures
Ability to prioritize work demands and trouble shoot
Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and research study methods
Experience working with HRPO, eCRIS, FDA
