The Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services is administratively responsible for oversight of all management and clinical activities of assigned areas for effective, efficient and economical outcomes across Heritage Valley Health System. The planning, interdepartmental coordination, and adherence to appropriate regulatory authority and integration of service and clinical quality are supervised and directed by this position, and include patient care, documentation, data collection, and all administrative details. This position is responsible to create an environment that enables Heritage Valley Health System to fulfill its mission and objectives and meet or exceed its goals. The Director supports the strategic plan of the organization and clearly communicates the mission, vision and key objectives to all staff.
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or health care discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a department-level manager in a heath care environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with federal, state, and other local regulations governing radiation health and safety practices in addition to the Joint Commission. Must be familiar with current imaging technology. Must be familiar with current trends in health care management and reimbursement systems.
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred: Master Degree in Business Administration or health care management High-level computer skills (Microsoft Office Products, e-mail, Web, etc.)
