The Office of Nutrition and Food Labeling (ONFL) under the Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking a nutrition science reviewer to join the Infant Formula and Medical Foods Staff (IFMFS) for regulatory activities relating to the review of new-to-market and reformulated infant formulas, including scientific rationale, composition, nutrition, and safety as well as review of clinical study data and other issues pertinent to infant formulas, new ingredients for infant formulas, and medical foods. A Master’s Degree in Nutrition and some degree of clinical experience with infant and/or pediatric nutrition are preferred. Topics to be reviewed may include the nutrient content of infant formulas and medical foods, infant formula growth monitoring studies, protein efficiency ratio rat bioassay studies, labeling, and claims as they pertain to applicable laws, regulations, and FDA’s mission.
