Responsibilities & Duties


  • Work closely with CAA and other TRIO staff members, other DePaul offices and organizations, as well as with community organizations outside of DePaul for the development of partnerships to develop academic experiences for career and graduate school pathways for SSS students-high ability/potential students of color and students from low-income and first-generation college families.

  • On yearly basis, develop and implement communication and assessment strategies to identify SSS student career interest and pathway training needs.

  • Develop and conduct workshops/ seminars and supervise graduate instructor/s in the delivery of programming for Mitchem Fellowship and CAA Lab programs.

  • AD will also provide academic guidance and individual advising to student participants in these programs.

  • Monitor the development and maintenance of CAA Pathway databases and students' records, and lead /supervises the development of reports on student profile, activity, and outcomes.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.




Education & Experience


  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Professional experience working with populations underrepresented in higher education is very important.

  • Experience with teaching, advising, and mentoring undergrads.

  • Experience in program assessment, asset mapping projects, community outreach, and professional development training.

  • Experience with research so that they can be a resource as participants frame their research projects.



Preferred Requirements


  • Master's degree or enrollment in a Master's program.



Managerial Responsibilities


  • The TC will make decisions concerning the design and content of academic programming for SSS students participating in SSS programming, and the day-to-day management of the relationship with partners associated with those services.

  • In the spring quarter, the TC will supervise the work of SSS graduate student interns (1 or 2) on the delivery of workshop and data collection processes related to career pathway training.
