| The Eastern Colorado Veterans Health Care System, Imaging Service is currently recruiting for one (1) Nuclear Medical Technologist, at the Rocky Mountain VA Medical Center, in Aurora, Colorado. The RMRVAMC Nuclear Medicine/PET CT department provides 24 hour-a-day, seven day-a-week nuclear medicine coverage. Nuclear Medicine/PET CT service provides care to our veterans to support services such as the Emergency Department, Medical Oncology, and Cardiology as well as RMR inpatient units (inclusive of intensive care). The Nuclear Medicine/PET CT technologist will be on-call after-hours, weekends, holidays for emergent patient exams. Nuclear Medicine/PET CT Technologist has the responsibility for providing a wide range of specialized nuclear medicine procedure. This includes but is not limited to: diagnostic imaging, therapy with unsealed radioactive materials, radio assay, in-vivo and in-vitro cell labeling, evaluation of abnormal lab result, use and maintenance of equipment, set-up and acquisition of daily and weekly quality control and monitoring quality control results to ensure compliance with vendor standards. NM/ PET CT technologist has responsibility for compliance with regulations from governing bodies such as: Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Department of Transportation (DOT), National Health Physics Program, and Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA). The incumbent will perform nuclear medicine procedures approximately 70% of the time and Positron Emission Tomography Compute Tomography (PETCT) imaging approximately 30% of the time. Preferred Experience: 1 year experience in both Nuclear Medicine and Pet/CT and Certification in Nuclear Medicine required Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Rotating On Call Financial Disclosure Report: Not required
