About the Opportunity: A Postdoctoral Research position is available in the Slavov Laboratory to study the coordination of post-transcriptional and metabolic regulatory mechanisms in single cells. We can support both projects initiated by the candidate and suggest multiple projects tailored to the candidates and funded by our ongoing projects, e.g., the Allen Distinguished Investigator Award for tracking protein dynamics in single cells. We are particularly interested in advancing single-cell proteomics technologies (SCoPE-MS, SCoPE2) and applying them to exciting biological problems, such as the regulation of macrophage polarization and other areas outlined in this article: Slavov, 2020 DOI: 10.1126/science.aaz6695 The successful applicant will join a collaborative state-of-the-art laboratory with multiple LC-MS/MS systems and is expected to build strong collaborative partnerships within the group, as well as to develop and drive new projects within the scope of the Single-cell proteomics center. Responsibilities: Performs basic or applied research of a limited scope, primarily using existing theories and methods. Assists the supervisor in the interpretation and publication of results and grants. Maintains the laboratory and may exercise functional supervision over supporting research staff. Primary responsibility is ensuring that the research is complete. Qualifications: Must have a Ph.D. or equivalent; be able to undertake substantially full-time research or scholarship; work under the supervision of a senior scholar.
