Register patients, create encounter, request modifications to initial authorizations, and request medical records including imaging prior to all new patient appointments. Participates in referral data collection metrics and provides recommendations for process improvement. Assists the office with clerical duties and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education:â¢Required: High school graduate or GEDâ¢Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢2+ yearsâ experience in acute care or ambulatory care setting preferred. â¢Familiarity with Word processing, Microsoft Outlook.â¢Analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to analyze patient data from multiple systems.â¢Quality management skills including ability to identify quality metrics and tracking of complex regulatory â¢requirements. â¢Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficientlyâ¢Preferred: Knowledge of medical terminology.â¢Preferred: Familiarity with GE Centricity Business, Cerner, PBAR and scheduling software.Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date (applicable to employees working within City of LA).â¢Preferred: MA/LVN license preferred but not required
