Position Summary: The Department of Supply Chain Management (SCM) at Rutgers Business School invites applications for a tenure track position of Assistant Professor in SCM to begin on September 1, 2021. Requirements: Successful applicants should hold a Ph.D. in the area of Healthcare Services, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline. They should have strong methodological training, outstanding research achievements or potential for publication in top journals, and excellent teaching and communication skills. Responsibilities: The new faculty member is expected to teach undergraduate, MBA, executive, and Ph.D. level courses, to be actively involved in research and grant work, to interface with industry, and to supervise Ph.D. students in Supply Chain Management and/or Healthcare Services. Candidates with academic experience and strong publication records in healthcare operations, supply chain analytics, or sustainability using empirical approaches are particularly desirable. The SCM Department at Rutgers Business School offers programs at the Ph.D., MBA, M.S. and undergraduate levels, and, together with the Rutgers Center for Supply Chain Management, develops and runs domestic and international executive training programs. SCM courses are offered at both the Newark and New Brunswick campuses of Rutgers University during the day, evenings, and weekends, with continuously ever-growing student demand.
