Industrial Electrical Maintenance Instructor - The LearningForce

The Instructor will exhibit a positive example of customer service while participating in the efforts of The LearningForce unit. The Instructor must work effectively with members of the team, internal and external departments while delivering instruction, data entry, upkeep services and support with little to no error. The Instructor reports directly to the executive director of The LearningForce.

Education: An Associate degree in an Industrial Technology related field preferred, but not required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance in manufacturing environment is preferred. Skills: Demonstrate evidence of excellent oral and written communication skills, demonstrate student centeredness, and be able to interact with a broad range of people with diverse backgrounds both on and off campus in a positive manner. Possess a demonstrated ability to operate and maintain IEM equipment. The ideal candidate will have training and experience in Industrial Technology, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, quality control and management, total productive maintenance, OSHA, NEC, and CPT and/or ability to achieve industry certifications relevant to the role and instruction. Demonstrate a commitment to the philosophy and mission of the community college. Behaviors: Exhibit a high degree of motivation, dedication, professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm for subject matter and teaching others. Able to manage regular projects that may require a quick, yet thorough, response to meet deadlines and expectations. Exhibit a positive attitude and teamwork approach to daily task and interactions. Ability to solve problems and communicate clearly. Exhibit a high level of initiative. Experience: Minimum of five years relevant experience or 5 years pertinent work experience. Certifications such as CMRT/CMRP preferred. Teaching experience, preferred, but not required. PHYSICAL TASKS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSWork involves possible day, evening and weekend hours. Instructor must be able to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb, as necessary during development and delivery of training project. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Some travel within the 14-county SFCC region may be required for a training project. Able to lift objects (up to 40 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. |
