Physical Therapy Assistant (Registry)
Job Summary: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for assisting the physical therapist(PT) in implementing the plan of care and treatment programs to restore a patient's/resident's/ optimal function and mobility. The PTA performs treatment commensurate with their education and training utilizing exercise, equipment and modalities to improve strength, balance, coordination, range of motion to decrease pain. The PTA assists in providing education related to the treament program, disease process and prevention of further injuries to the patient/resident/family/caregiver and other members of the health care team.
