Central Coast Audiology is a well-established full-service private practice with locations in Monterey and Salinas, California seeking a full-time audiology extern for 2026-2027. Our team is lead by 3 full-time Audiologists, and mentor 2nd year doctorate students from San Jose State University. Our clinic utilizes a team approach and offers a Full-Service Hearing Wellness Program that focuses on the areas of hearing, ear-brain connection, cognition, balance and vestibular health, and tinnitus, working primarily with the adult population. Our services include;

1. Comprehensive Diagnostic Testing – including air, bone, speech, QSIN, OAEs, immittance and tinnitus assessment. We focus on adult populations with occasional pediatric patients.
2. Diagnostic Vestibular Center – as an American Institute of Balance (AIB) premium center of specialty care, we perform AEPs (ABR rate study, EcochG, cVEMP, oVEMP), VNG with calorics and rotary chair, and BPPV treatments.
3. Cognivue to assess ear brain connection and cognition screening.
4. Hearvu counselling tool with in office listening demonstration.
5. LACE rehabilitation application.
6. Hearing aid amplification utilizing the top 6 hearing aid manufacturers – Phonak, Widex, Oticon, ReSound, Starkey and Signia as well as certified Lyric provider.
7. Tinnitus testing and treatment plans – we are currently providers of Lenire, the first FDA approved tinnitus treatment device.
8. Cochlear Implant candidacy assessment, post implantation programming, and follow-up services.

We will send you to the American Institute of Balance (AIB) for vestibular assessment boot camp in Tampa, Florida.  Additionally we will provide training to become Lyric and Lenire certified.  If you join our team, you will be well versed in programming and troubleshooting the top 6 hearing aid manufactures and the 3 major cochlear implant manufacturers.

Monterey is a magical place to live on the Pacific Ocean nestled amongst the Santa Lucia Mountains.  Carmel-by-the-Sea, Carmel Valley and Pebble Beach are charming and fun to explore, with ample opportunities for foodies, wine-lovers, and outdoor explorers.  Big Sur is just down the Pacific Coast Highway with incredible views.  If you crave the big city, the San Francisco Bay area is just an hour or so away!
