The Association of California Water Agencies seeks a new State Relations AssistantABOUT THE POSITIONThe State Relations Assistant is responsible for performing in a key support capacity for the State Legislative Relations Department, State Legislative and Regulatory Advocates and Analysts, and other members of the Government Relations team. The position will be responsible for tracking bills, submitting position and regulatory letters and comments, responding to member and committee questions, as well as general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings and logistics, maintaining files and records, performing research, and assisting Analysts. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThe salary range is $28.43 – $36.96 per hour with salary placement based on qualifications. They will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills, strong software skills, and have a general understanding of state legislative and regulatory processes. Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and have previous experience leading to knowledge of State Legislative Branch of government. |
