LeeSar operates 6 distinct pharmacy business units, including two central fill facilities for Florida based member hospitals under a Class III Institutional Pharmacy Permit. LeeSar provides member facilities medication replenishment for their automated dispensing cabinets (ADC), crash and OR cart replenishment services, radiopharmaceuticals, critical medications compounded under a closed door 503B and services local emergency medical services. The pharmacies also provide prepacking and repackaging services for specialized packs, oral solids and liquids which are distributed through ADC replenishment or on a bill-to/ship-to status.
Cooperative Services of Florida (CSF) operates the Safe Harbor Group Purchasing Organization that member facilities participate in with partnership through Vizient's national GPO services with over $800M in pharmaceutical spend under management. CSF is the largest aggregation group through Vizient in the state of Florida services - Lee Health, Sarasota Memorial Health, Jupiter Health, Central Florida (Leesburg & Villages) and the University of Florida.
Thee Pharmacy Operations & Compliance Manager will conduct audits, oversee policy development, customer services, be the primary liaison for communication, day-to-day decision making, investigate discrepancies or non conformities and ensure adherence to pharmacy regulations and business laws for the pharmacy business operations including adherence of medication-use processes for defined regulatory and quality standards of practice. Individual will collaboratively coordinate process improvement initiatives for pharmacy operations, the sterile operations of the cleanroom pharmacy, and the Emergency Medicine Division. The Pharmacy Operations & Compliance Manager under direction from the Executive Director of Quality will perform investigations for root cause analysis, audit records, perform annual product reviews, risk assessments, evaluate data trends via statistical analysis and train personnel for the 503B. The individual will assist with oversight of daily operations including personnel assignments and activities, medication dispensing programs, pharmacy automation, and medication inventory to ensure effective and timely provision of pharmacy services and medication therapy.
This individual in partnership with the VP of Pharmacy will procure medication and supplies while monitoring utilization across all pharmacy areas. Individual will supervise staff and actively participate in operations to ensure continuity of the pharmacy medication and supply chain to patients and that pharmacy support services are available to health-systems. The Pharmacy Operations & Compliance Coordinator will provide education to staff; enforce departmental and overall policies while actively participating in customer service, accepting responsibility with timely and respectful communication to all.
Per our Hybrid Policy, this role may occasionally work remotely, however on-site presence is primarily required to meet job responsibilities and essential duties as a member of the management team.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a Pharm.D. Degree is required.
- PGY1/PGY2 HSPAL or Masters in business administration preferred.
- Registered Pharmacist in the State of Florida, required.
- Licensed as a Consultant Pharmacist in the State of Florida, preferred.
