POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide generalized audio visual (AV) assistance to campus community. Work as a member of a project team involving other support staff, including students. Work under close supervision of a manager or a project leader. Support campus live streaming and video recording requests.


Duties and Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and repair campus audio visual systems.
Provide audio visual support services to live campus events, specifically live streaming and video recording work.
Provide postproduction services for video recordings.
Monitor campus lecture capture systems.
Provide training to campus community, as well as other support technicians.
Create informative documentation on audio visual systems.
Work under the direction of a project lead in audio visual system installations.
Collaborate with technicians in other units of ITS and university departments.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work a non-standard schedule to fulfill assigned duties and responsibilities. Respond to technical emergencies outside of normal working hours as needed. Support URI special Events outside of normal working hours, including weekend and evening hours, as required to meet campus needs.
Maintain a high level of understanding of current developments in the assigned area of responsibility and anticipate future needs.
As part of training, perform functions normally assigned to Senior Technician, although to a lesser extent.
Perform other duties as required.
LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Various audio-visual manufacturer software, IT service management tools, personal computers, Microsoft Office Suite, presentation software. Ability to lift 50 pounds (equipment, etc.)
