Las Cruces Public Schools is seeking a dynamic leader to serve as our next Executive Director of Bilingual Education, Translation & Interpretation, and Community Outreach. This position is a critical part of our Educational Equity and Support Programs Division and plays a vital role in ensuring that all multilingual learners and their families are supported through high-quality programs, language access, and strong community partnerships. Core responsibilities include: *Overseeing all services for Emergent Bilingual students. *Managing state and federal grants tied to bilingual education. * Leading districtwide translation and interpretation services. * Strengthening family and community partnerships. *Managing program budgets and ensuring compliance At LCPS, equity means tailoring each student’s educational experience to what they need—and that belief drives everything we do. Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Administration.
2. Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) PK – 12 Administrative License
3. Knowledge of current research and best practices regarding EL students.
4. Knowledge of programs and support for bilingual and immigrant students.
5. NM Bilingual or TESOL endorsement or equivalent certification

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience working in an administrative/supervisory capacity.
2. Understanding of federal and state statutes and regulatory requirements in the area of English Language Learners.
3. Understanding of program evaluation and data analysis
4. Bilingual and Bi-literate in English and Spanish; able to proficiently read and write in both languages.
