POSITION SUMMARY: Working under the direction of the Vice President of Compliance, the Compliance and Privacy Analyst provides assistance with implementation of the CHRISTUS St. Vincent Compliance Program and Compliance Work Plan. Under general supervision, the Compliance and Privacy Analyst will perform a variety of duties centered on compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; internal policies, procedures and Code of Conduct; accepted business practices; ethical standards; and contractual obligations. As an integral part of the Compliance team, the Compliance and Privacy Analyst promotes a culture that fosters ethical and compliant behavior and provides the basis for ensuring adequate internal controls and compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent transferrable education/experience required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: HCCA, SCCE, or AHIMA, or similar healthcare professional association, corporate compliance and/or privacy certification required or must be obtained within 2 years of hire date.
SKILLS:
Ability to coordinate and perform confidential, sensitive investigations
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of the organization
Effective oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to determine areas of compliance risk and develop appropriate responses
Self-starter with ability to drive independent problem solving
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare compliance and/or privacy role or equivalent experience required.
