The Sterile Compounding Pharmacy Technician will assist the pharmacist with providing safe and appropriate pharmacy services to our patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of UK HealthCare, the state's professional standards, and other regulatory entities. The Sterile Compounding Technician works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, working in the clean room and compounding medication. A Sterile Compounding Technician is experienced in all aspects of medication compounding and plays a significant role in the coordination of patient services.

The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.

Required License/Registration/Certification :
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Education/Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
