Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) and Northwell Health (NH) are at the forefront of translational research, working together to bridge the gap between scientific discoveries and clinical applications. We are seeking a Coordinator to join our dynamic team and support our collaborative efforts.
The Coordinator, Clinical & Translational, will play a crucial role in supporting the research initiatives of the CSHL-NH affiliation. Working closely with the Director of Clinical and Translational Collaborations and the Manager of Clinical and Translational Collaborations, the Coordinator will provide administrative assistance and help execute inter-institutional efforts aimed at bringing basic scientific discoveries to the clinic.
Position Responsibilities
Provide executive assistance to the Director of Clinical and Translational Collaborations.
Schedule meetings for various affiliation committees and with other departments at CSHL.
Coordinate with administrative staff to schedule joint recruitment visits.
Organize affiliation events, including meetings and symposiums, in collaboration with other departments on campus.
Collect affiliation grant progress reports, no-cost extensions, and close out reports from awardees in a timely manner.
Reconcile invoices related to the affiliation.
Assist with the onboarding of affiliation faculty and trainees.
Communicate opportunities for training, professional development, and collaboration.
Facilitate the execution of legal and regulatory documentation.
Perform data entry for affiliation reports and databases.
Manage purchases and reconcile invoices for the office.
Maintain updates to the CSHL-NH affiliation webpage.
Develop, recommend, and implement administrative procedures.
Other duties as necessary.
Position Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: 5+ years of administrative support experience. Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills – required. Ability to prioritize projects and manage key deadlines for diverse administrative functions – required. Cognizant of, and compliant with, HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality – required. Familiarity with NIH grant requirements and guidelines – desirable. Advanced level proficiency in word processing and related computer software packages -- required. Familiarity with the academic or clinical environment --desirable.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
