This full-time day shift pharmacy position will provide care to acutely ill hospitalized adult patients via order verification, pharmacist managed protocols, therapeutic drug monitoring, and collaboration with other healthcare providers at WVU Hospitals in Morgantown, WV. Other daily activities can include, but are not limited to, patient care rounding, committee involvement, training, precepting, and code response. This position ensures medication use is aligned with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards through involvement in medication safety systems, patient quality services, and disease outcomes programs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy OR Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
2. Must possess current license to practice pharmacy in West Virginia or be license eligible. Licensure must be completed within 90 days of hire. If licensure is not obtained within 90 days of start date, associate will be notified that they will be released from their employment.
3. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 60 days of hire date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. Pharm.D from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Completion of a PGY-2 Residency in an applicable clinical field OR;
