The Operations Manager for Nuclear Medicine supports the Director in shaping and implementing the department’s vision, strategic initiatives, and daily operations. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the operational management of the Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics Program. Key responsibilities include:
•Providing operational leadership and strategic guidance for all nuclear medicine locations, encompassing a total of seven sites.
•Managing oversight of nuclear medicine research activities, including clinical trial approvals, fund flow processes, and coordination with partners such as the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) and the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center (JCCC).
•Ensuring strong performance in key areas such as budgeting, patient and employee satisfaction, charge lag metrics, and other clinical and financial indicators across all clinic sites.
•Overseeing departmental projects and initiatives-including Lean process improvement-to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency.
•Developing a comprehensive framework for strategic decision-making that incorporates profitability, revenue, charge capture, cost management, and optimal allocation of financial and physical resources.
•Leading the creation of business intelligence tools and structures that support operational, financial, and strategic planning.
Salary Range: $105,700.00 - $234,500.00/year
Qualifications
•3 or more years of experience in program or operations management within Nuclear Medicine, healthcare or imaging setting.
•Demonstrated ability to navigate sensitive or complex situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and responsiveness.
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, faculty, students, patients, regulatory bodies, and a broad range of professional and public stakeholders.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Ability to travel occasionally to off-site locations within Southern Los Angeles.
