Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Manager tojoinour teaminDublin, OH.This position willbe responsible foroverseeing theoperations and administrationof the clinical laboratory testing for theDepartment Name(s). The Laboratory Manager will create, implement, and manage the policies,proceduresand practices foroptimalperformanceof the clinical diagnostics laboratory. **Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 per year

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

Job Responsibilities
Direct the dailyoperational activitiesof the Core Lab; both the technical and non-technicaloperations
Effectively manage the staffingof the department andmonitorthe production schedule toensure adequate coverage and proper useofovertime, and adjust as needed
Directly supervisor, train, and mentor supervisors along with responsibility for all departmental staff
Ensure the diagnostics laboratory provides market leading service levels, meeting the needsofour clients and corporate service metricsestablishedfor TAT
Resolve client inquiries andoperational issuesin a timely mannerby consulting with the Medical Director, Technical Director, QA, managers, discipline directors, laboratorydirectorsor corporateoperations
Ensure laboratory is compliant with corporate,stateand federal regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, State, ISO,etc) related topersonnel safety and qualityof laboratory testing as well as professional conduct
Assistwith developing and implementing laboratory procedures and installationof equipment and methods
Manage staff including hiring qualified employees, performance management,trainingand development
Ensure effective communication with leadership, clients, sales, corporateoperationsand all departmental staff
Conduct departmental meetings and ensureappropriate departmentalcommunication
Investigate deviations from established procedures toensure effective corrective action
Maintain technical knowledge in the assigned department(s) for the laboratory testing
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements is required
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technologist in a clinical diagnostics laboratory is required
Minimum 3+ years of experience in Lab Leadership/Management in a clinical diagnostics laboratory is required
Prior supervisor experience managing several direct reports is required
Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations is required
Strong technical knowledge across multiple testing disciplines is preferred
Experience with laboratory automation and information systems is preferred
ASCP and/or AMT certification is preferred
Current MT/MLS certification is preferred
Previous experience managing people leaders is preferred
Experience managing a high-volume clinical laboratory environment is preferred
Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Proven success in training and developing both technical and non-technical employees
Ability to problem solve and provide solutions under minimal supervision
Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
