Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Program Coordinator (Fellowship) for the department of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School.
It is the responsibility of the GME Program to provide a structured educational program for the benefit of the residents and fellows. The GME Program Coordinator, under the direction and supervision of the GME Program Manager, is responsible for assisting in the administration of the residency program as outlined in the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Program Requirements. The GME Program Coordinator provides administrative and operational support directly to chief fellows and fellows. The GME Program Coordinator interacts with faculty, residents, fellows, medical students, and institutional and regulatory administrative offices as directed by the GME Program Manager and the Core Program Director.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Compile, update and submit reports to ACGME and other professional organizations as directed by the GME Program Manager.
Compile, tabulate and report data for surveys, questionnaires, census reports, accreditation reports and other forms and documents required by internal and external agencies as directed by the GME Program Manager.
Coordinate resident bi-annual reviews.
Collect necessary information to meet current ACGME requirements.
Coordinate the administration of the ABIM National In-training Examinations.
Prepare and distribute all post-graduation internal medicine verifications.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, plus two (2) years of progressively more responsible administrative experience required.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
