Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing and administering employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies, and providing guidance on complex leave situations. This position works closely with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
Provide training and ongoing support for employees, managers, and HR Liaisons with navigating the leave process and assist in determining eligibility and options. Work closely with other HR and external teams, such as the HRSC, payroll, and employee and labor relations, to ensure seamless integration of leave programs with other HR functions.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to leave administration processes, including tracking, communication, and reporting. Implement best practices for streamlined and efficient leave management. Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the leave administration process, including automation and streamlining of workflows, and provide recommendations for enhancements.
Provide monthly reporting on type of leaves and payment of leaves by employee group and organizational units
Review and audit leave payments, leave duration and ensure employees leave start and end dates are processed on a timely basis.
Ensure the University's PFML program is in compliance with State Law and comply with all regulatory requirements
Administer the University's Long Term Disability plan including reporting and preparing data for the annual LTD analysis.
Maintain accurate records of all LTD claims, including the status of ongoing cases, and ensure data is updated in the HRIS system.

Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
Three plus years of related experience, experience in administering employee leave benefits preferred
Excellent understanding of leave management processes, policies, and best practices.
Experience administering leave benefits and extensive knowledge of the Massachusetts Paid Family and Medical Leave Act and Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993
Strong analytic skills and the ability to organize and analyze large data sets
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with HRIS systems SAP preferred
