Position description: The successful candidate will conduct experiments to grow rubber producing plants, extract and characterize latex and rubber, cast and dip cured films, and perform mechanical testing. Specific job duties include: Grow and maintain plant calli and tissue culture; grow and maintain plants in greenhouse, field, and hydroponic systems; collect, clean, and store seed; quantify rubber/latex rubber; cast and dip cured films, including making composites; perform tensiometric analyses.
