This full-time day shift pharmacy manager position will oversee the intensive care unit, emergency department, surgical, and transplant pharmacists at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. The primary duties of this position include management of clinical practice and direct leadership of the previously mentioned pharmacy clinical divisions, including decentralized pharmacy practice, and medication use systems. This position ensures medication use is aligned with evidence-based best practices and regulatory standards by directly managing medication safety systems, regulatory compliance initiatives, patient quality services, and disease outcomes programs. It also directs the activities of pharmacists who work within assigned areas and oversees day-to-day staffing and pharmacist coverage of patient care service lines and care areas. Lastly, this position develops and enforces institutional policies, initiates development plans or corrective action as needed and in collaboration with other managers, oversees the code response program, and precepts pharmacy students and residents. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Adult Clinical Services and Education.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Certification, and/or Licensure
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy.
Must possess current license to practice pharmacy in West Virginia or be license eligible. Licensure must be completed within 60 days of start date.
Experience
Completion of a health-system pharmacy administration residency program OR;
Completion of a non-health-system pharmacy administration residency program AND 1 year of experience as a clinical pharmacist or pharmacy administrator OR;
Three (3) years of pharmacy administrative experience OR;
Five (5) years pharmacist practice experience.

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure
Master of Business Administration, Master of Health Administration, Master of Science in Health-System Pharmacy Administration, or Master in Public Health.
Board Certification in a clinical pharmacy specialty
