The ideal candidate for this position should be seeking an opportunity to participate in a fast-paced, comprehensive audiology practice. Must be eligible for and obtain student licensure in Texas.
Current audiology services include adult and pediatric audiology diagnostic services, vestibular testing, and electrophysiology studies (including sedated and natural sleep ABRs, VEMP, ASSR, and ECOG). Rehabilitative services include hearing aids, tinnitus management, osseointegrated devices, and cochlear implants. Audiologists and audiology externs collaborate closely with the Department’s otorhinolaryngologists and other healthcare professionals.
Dates of externship are flexible. We typically begin in June and finish with graduation (pending completion of all 1,600 hours of supervised work required by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation).
