The Center for Indigenous Health (Center) is located within the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and is seeking a Research Program Coordinator. The core activities housed at the Center include research studies of infectious diseases and behavioral health, and a training program.
The goals of the Center projects are to evaluate the impact and efficacy of research projects aimed at improving health outcomes for Native American families and communities. Study data results will focus on public health outcomes specific to the approved protocols at the worksite.
The Research Program Coordinator is responsible for study site activation and coordination, including regulatory review, site study team training, data monitoring and integrity fulfillment, participant enrollment, and overall project timeline management. This requires a high level of knowledge, oversight and organization, and will serve as a central resource for faculty and staff conducting research.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Provide programmatic coordination of daily operational activities at Center?s Fort Defiance site.
Onboard, train and supervise team members as needed. Monitor progress and provide feedback for improvement and to highlight successes.
Coordinate a variety of duties related to the Center?s behavioral health programs including but not limited to materials and curriculum development, data entry and analysis, and participating in regular meetings (teleconferences) with community-based sites.
Coordinate events and maintain an active schedule of programmatic activities for program participants and Center.
Coordinate community-based efforts for marketing of the Center by supplying regular updates on content and events related to the Center.
Coordination of literature reviews and synthesis of the literature on behavioral health and infectious disease prevention topics.
Assisting with poster and oral presentations, and manuscript preparation.
Work with the rest of project team on duties related to the general conduct of the program and evaluation, and participate in team meetings to review project goals and progress.
Coordinate program records, and complete regular progress reports.
Review data for document accuracy and processing as needed.
Attend trainings and meetings (travel required).
Work as a member of the Fort Defiance site leadership team to ensure operational efficiency and success across multiple buildings and multiple team.
Assist with the other Center-wide programmatic duties as needed.

Ability to travel with overnight stays required as needed. Some evening, weekend and holiday work may be required.
This position will maintain background clearance as required by the employer and any collaborating agencies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of SPSS, SAS, Stata, and/or REDCap preferred.
Experience working with Native or Indigenous communities.
