Position Overview
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at the Yale School of Medicine seeks a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Division Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Specialties. This role requires an experienced professional with a proven track record in clinical excellence, leadership, mentorship, and operational management. The Division Director will lead and advance the division across the Yale New Haven Health System, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Specialties.
- Develop and implement division goals, objectives, and initiatives in alignment with the hospital system’s overall mission and vision.
- Lead efforts to enhance clinical services, research, and educational programs.
Clinical Excellence:
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality, equitable, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and related specialties.
- Ensure adherence to best practices, clinical guidelines, and quality standards.
- Promote innovation and advancements in minimally invasive gynecologic techniques and procedures.
Mentorship and Development:
- Foster a culture of inclusive mentorship, professional development, and continuous learning within the division.
- Support and guide faculty, residents, and fellows in their clinical, research, and educational pursuits.
- Promote interdepartmental collaboration and cross-disciplinary initiatives.
Operational Management:
- Manage the division’s operational and financial performance, including budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with hospital administration, performance improvement leadership, and other departments to optimize service delivery and patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):
- Champion DEI initiatives and promote a culture of respect, equity, and inclusive excellence within the division.
- Develop strategies to recruit, retain, and support a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
- Advocate for health equity and address disparities in gynecologic care.
Community Engagement:
- Strengthen relationships with the community, patients, and external partners to enhance the division’s reputation and impact.
- Participate in outreach programs, public education, and community health initiatives.
