The Program Manager (PM) will support program activities to ensure project deadlines and outcomes are met. The PM will utilize appropriate internal tools including project management, financial, communication, and reporting tools. The PM will report to the PI and work closely with them and the rest of the team to manage the schedule, communication, and reporting. They will ensure sub-award recipients are invoicing appropriately per schedule, ensure financials and documentation are organized per sponsor requirements, and budget forecasting and preparation per reporting requirements (monthly, quarterly, and annual report writing, compilation, and proofreading). They will keep records and updates of schedules, risks, milestones, and deliverables. They will organize and help support meetings and maintain recordings (cataloging and archiving). The PM will create reporting templates that fulfill the requirement of the granting agency, ensure compliance with confidentiality, support the creation of presentations, and ensure all sub-award recipients are complying with required documentation and projected spending in a timely manner. They will support meetings and travel needs of sub-award recipients for sponsor visits and Northeastern University (NU) on-site COE events planning, including streamlining any events or meetings. Foster the collaboration between NU and the sub-award recipients. The PM will develop project plans and milestones and help ensure the execution of these plans as well as ensure that all grantor contractual and regulatory requirements are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with grant and/or software project management skills and experience with graduate student programs are a plus. Understanding of scientific practices, technical knowledge and skills, technical writing and reporting, and experience with new laboratory or project startups are also required. The knowledge and skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree with three to five years of related experience; a Ph.D. is preferred.
