Northeastern University is seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to join our research team in developing process analytical technologies (PATs) and AI/ML tools for biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects that aims to test modern experimental techniques and develop self-learning intelligent tools for biopharmaceutical products. The overarching goals of the projects are to facilitate biomanufacturing process innovation through digital twin, AI/ML, and platform development. This position provides a dynamic academic environment offering researchers the opportunity for a wide breadth of experiences:
Create, present, and publish scholarly research through collaborative industry and university relationship.
Develop technical skills through building and calibrating intelligent models.
Engage with faculty who participate in various interdisciplinary research.
Network with area residents and other Northeastern fellows via professional development programs, seminars.
Ph.D. in Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related.
Solid background in ML, mathematics, statistical methods, and understanding of biomanufacturing process.
Experience in doing research in a multi-disciplinary team.
Fast learner and comfortable to learn new subjects.
Strong interest in combining different scientific disciplines to develop new insights.
Excellent programming skills (e.g., Python).
Excellent command of the English language.
