Position Summary
The Department of Pediatrics is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in a full time position to work within the Office of Medical Education, Diversity & Inclusion. Columbia University Irving Medical Center???s Department of Pediatrics is a world leader in providing care for children. Our mission areas include Healthcare, Education and Research. We offer care for our patients in over 25 specialty areas as well as individualized care for complex cases. Our Residency, Fellowship and Graduate programs are among the best in the Nation. Our Clinical, Translational and Basic Science research features collaborations across specialties and stretches from the bench to bedside. We also have several active Clinical trials available to our patients. This position will support the department by providing administrative support to the pediatric residency and fellowship training programs.

Responsibilities
Includes but not limited to the day to day administration of the Pediatric Residency and Fellowship training programs.
Assists the Division Administrator, Coordinator and the Director of Fellowship program in maintaining the educational quality of the pediatric residency and fellowship training programs.
Maintain knowledge of the ACGME compliance and regulatory requirements of the pediatric training programs.
Responsibilities will be split 50% between the core and fellowship programs.
General Responsibilities for the Core Residency Program:
Serve as administrative support to the Department???s Core and Fellowship programs, Associate Program Directors, Residents, and Fellows.
Responsible for day-to-day administrative functions; vacation/sick leave, credentialing, licensure and In-Training exams, and processing new/continuing/separating allocation forms.
Coordinates and assists with educational activities (conference Monitoring, work hour and Duty hour compliance, Harlem Hospital/St. Barnabas rotators).
