Assistant/Associate [Open Rank] Professor of Clinical Occupational Therapy - Clinical Manager
Clinical Faculty Position Occupational Therapy Department, Keck Hospital of USC & Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center
The Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California invites applicants for a full-time clinical faculty position serving as Clinical Manager of Occupational Therapy Services at Keck Medical Center of USC. The Clinical Manager reports directly to the Associate Chair of Occupational Therapy Clinical Services. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with current Clinical Managers and Hospital leadership to:
Manage the daily operations of occupational therapy services, spanning multiple levels of care (i.e., inpatient acute & critical care, acute rehabilitation unit, outpatient)
Monitor expenses and budgets in alignment with fiscal stewardship goals
Monitor performance and manage interpersonal issues with faculty and staff
Develop and implement quality/performance improvement programs for patient care
Play an active role in promoting and marketing occupational therapy services
Assist in recruitment and training of faculty, staff, students, and residents
Work alongside the interdisciplinary team in maintaining compliance with organizational goals and appropriate regulatory agencies.
Provide direct clinical services as needed
Support the education and mentorship of USC occupational therapy students and residents.
Participate in innovation and scholarship activities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Associate Chair to support the goals of the health system, division, school, and university.
Qualifications include: Leadership/Management experience (outpatient setting preferred), significant experience working in adult physical rehabilitation; and current license to practice occupational therapy in California. This position is available 07/01/2024.
The annual base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $115,000.
