Energy Markets Analyst 9-12
Position is a staff subject matter professional requiring knowledge of wholesale electric energy markets and their corresponding multi-state regional market structures, transmission planning, stakeholder processes, and corresponding laws and federal regulation.  Acting in multiple forums on behalf of the Michigan Public Service Commission (MPSC), this position’s duties include highly complex state, regional, and national energy policy and technical negotiations and recommendations on resource adequacy and wholesale energy markets that directly affect the cost of energy paid by all Michigan residential, commercial, and industrial customers; and Michigan’s economic and regulatory climate.  Primary work is in formal and informal forums at the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regula
