The Research Associate will work directly under the PIs at Syracuse and Columbia Universities and the Project Manager at Syracuse University to assist with all aspects of the project, including the day-to-day operations, of a 5-year NIH-funded, stakeholder-engaged, mixed methods study on topics relevant for the inclusion of adults with intellectual disability in precision medicine research and to create and test a protocol-adaptable consent toolkit to assist precision medicine researchers in including adults with intellectual disability. The Research Associate will be responsible for working with the Program Manager to assist in the development, implementation and management of all aspects of the research, including: conducting literature and consent form reviews; staying abreast of regulatory changes and legal reform; identifying resources for the toolkit; supporting Steering Committee members; planning for and implementing Steering Committee meetings; creating, revising, and updating toolkit content; developing study protocols and IRB applications; supporting studies involving primary data collection; analyzing data (including cleaning and prepping data, creating and checking for validity and reliability, scoring rubrics); creating reports of findings for the Steering Committee; and disseminating findings.
