Warwood Tool Company is looking for a Forge Shop Supervisor/Plant Manager to manage production at our historic forging plant in Wheeling, WV. Essential Duties

• Work with Top Management to develop production schedules
• Regular communication with plant personnel, including production requirements and schedules, to ensure progress meets or exceeds planned schedules and requirements
• Ensure product and process quality
• Allocate resources effectively to fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
• Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives, to provide a clear sense of direction and focus for plant personnel
• Direct and develop team members while maintaining a culture of trust and collaboration
• Monitor and optimize productivity and performance metrics to ensure effective return on assets

Skills/Experience

• Familiar with Microsoft Office
• Three years min. supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
• Three years min. experience on forging processes, setup and run forge hammers/presses or equivalent
• Experience with Heat Treat and quench/tempering processes
• Knowledge of the metallurgical properties of the different material used
• Familiar with forging defects and how they can be prevented
