Clinical Research Coordinator - Intermittent Fasting and Healthy Diet Studies

The UAB Department of Nutrition is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator for exciting clinical trials on intermittent fasting. Come join a great team that is doing world-class research! The coordinator will help manage clinical trials testing whether intermittent fasting can help people with type 2 diabetes and cancer.

The Coordinator will perform some or all of the following duties and responsibilities, depending on the candidate's experience level:

• Recruit, screen, consent, and enroll participants.
• Perform testing visits and collect study data.
• Provide education to participants.
• Coordinate and organize participant schedules and study-related visits.
• Perform measurements and check the accuracy of study data.
• Collect, store, and manage study data and databases.
• Assist in developing protocols, manuals, protocol-related forms, and reports.
• Track study metrics indicating study performance.
• Generate reports and alerts in REDCap.
• Perform quality control.
• Prepare and submit regulatory documents to the IRB
• Serve as a liaison with the IRB, sponsors, UAB cores, and other collaborators.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary

Commensurate upon experience.

Requirements

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree.

The right candidate will be enthusiastic about improving people's health, be a people-person, get participants excited about participating in the studies, be good at paying attention to details, and have a positive proactive mindset. Most of the job will involve recruiting and working with participants.

Those with phlebotomy experience, experience coordinating clinical trials at UAB, background in nutrition or metabolism, and/or experience in data management in REDCap are strongly encouraged to apply.
